Our pecan creamed honey contains honey, just the right amount of pecans, and a little cinnamon. It is our most popular flavor with our customers. Here are some ideas to get you started on your own tub of Southern Pecan--

  • drizzle over a HUGE bowl of vanilla ice cream
  • use in place of syrup on waffles and pancakes
  • spread over biscuits and toast
  • make your own batch of Amanda's Southern Pecan Sticky Rolls (request the recipe--we'd love to share)

Ingredients: honey, pecans, cinnamon

About our Creamed Honey

Question:  What exactly is creamed honey?

Answer:    Creamed Honey is ...............HONEY! The only difference between our regular liquid honey and our creamed honey is a few additional steps in processing.

Question:  What additional processing is done?

Answer:  Regular liquid honey crystallizes over time. Some people mistakenly believe that the crystallized honey has "gone bad" Crystallized honey is still good, it has just changed its form. Normal, crystallized honey has a grainy texture. Our process controls the crystallization through a series of steps. The result of this process is a honey that has much smaller crystallization and yields a product with a smooth consistency somewhat similar to that of peanut butter. Our creamed honey is not heated or filtered and retains the same benefits as our liquid honey.

Question: What do you add to your creamed honey?

Answer: Our regular, creamed honey has no additional additives. Our flavored, creamed honeys have only natural flavors added. For instance, our cinnamon, creamed honey has two ingredients, honey and cinnamon.  We do not use preservatives or added sugars.

Question: Do I have to refrigerate my creamed honey?

Answer: Only if you want. All of our creamed honey, like our regular, liquid honey, is shelf stable. If a firmer consistency is desired, the creamed honey may be placed in the refrigerator.  A softer consistency can be obtained by leaving the creamed honey in room temperature or near a window on a warm day.  Creamed honey should not be exposed to high heat as this will cause the creamed honey to liquefy. If creamed honey is liquefied, it cannot be returned to its previous state.

Question: How is creamed honey used?

Answer: Spread it on a bagel, or a biscuit or an English Muffin. It goes great on pancakes and waffles. We mix "The Great Pumpkin" (seasonal flavor) in with our coffee. We have seen our customers use "Southern Pecan" to make sweet rolls. Other customers use "Sweet Heat" (chipotle) on brisket and barbeque. We use "Jalapeno" in our fajitas. One customer uses "Cinnamon Delight" (cinnamon) on sweet potatoes. "Grim Reaper" (Carolina Reaper and Ghost Pepper) can be used in making dips, and it makes fantastic hot wings. "Chocolate Walnut"and "Cinnamon Delight" are both terrific over ice cream. The possibilities are endless.
